Dear Customers,

Due to the current extreme increase in the number of parcels being shipped, the capacity of our customer service centre is extremely busy and response times for enquiries may be extended. When contacting the customer service department, we ask that you do not send your questions through multiple channels (email, Facebook, phone), always send the package number and wait for a response, we do our best to make sure your questions are answered.

Order your Christmas presents in time

This year, we recommend ordering Christmas gifts well in advance so that e-shops have at least 1 to 2 days to pick up the goods and hand them over to GLS. When shipping to/from abroad, it is important to subtract the standard transit time for the destination from the dates below.

Delivery to home address - 18. 12. 2023

To ensure that your gifts are delivered in time for Christmas Eve, we recommend ordering gifts for home delivery no later than Monday, December 18, 2023.

This will give e-shops enough time to stock the goods and hand them over to GLS no later than December 20, 2023.

Delivery to pick-up points- 19. 12. 2023

To ensure that your gifts are delivered in time for Christmas Eve, we recommend that you order your gifts for delivery to GLS Pick-up points no later than Tuesday, 19 December, 2023.

This will give e-shops enough time to stock the goods and hand them over to GLS no later than December 21, 2023.

Destinations and transport times

Don't send your parcels at the last minute

If you are planning to send packages to www.e-Balik.cz for delivery by Christmas Eve, we recommend that you create your shipments well in advance so that the package is delivered in time for GLS to deliver the package to the recipient.

Pick-up by a driver - 19. 12. 2023

To ensure timely delivery of gifts by Christmas Eve, we recommend that you place your orders on e-Balik no later than 19 December 2023 by 19:00.

If you create an order with GLS courier delivery by this date, the package will be picked up on December 20 and GLS will have two more working days to deliver the package.

Sending from GLS pick-up points - 19. 12. 2023

We recommend that packages with GLS Parcel Shops and GLS Parcel Boxes be handed over for shipment no later than 19. 12. 2023.

In this case, the package will be picked up on 20. 12. and GLS will have an additional two business days to deliver the package to the recipient.

Operation during Christmas holidays

The GLS transport network will be limited during the Christmas holidays. Please take into account the following GLS Czech Republic operating hours when planning your parcel shipment.

• Monday 18 December 2023 - Friday 22 December 2023: Standard operation

• Saturday 23 December 2023 - Tuesday 26 December 2023: Closed

• Wednesday 27 December 2023 - Friday 29 December 2023: Standard operation

• Saturday 30 December 2023 - Monday 1 January 2024: Closed

For questions about package delivery, please have the package number ready, which can be found in the notification e-mail and SMS message from GLS. If you do not have the package number, please contact the sender.

Virtual asistant

The GLS virtual assistant can help you with simple questions about the status of your package, regardless of GLS opening hours. You can find it on our e-Balík .

To check the status of a package, simply enter the package number. If you have any more complicated questions or if the virtual assistant is not sure, he will connect you to a live operator.

Storage time in GLS Pick-up points

Until the end of the calendar year 2023, the shortened storage time in GLS ParcelBoxes and AlzaBoxes is 2 calendar days with the possibility of extension by 3 working days.
