GLS Portugal is a leading parcel logistics company operating since 2005, and proudly announces its participation as responsible organizer and host of the event " Cloudflight Coding Contest" in Lisbon, an international programming contest, which takes place on 25 October 2024. This event is a great opportunity for IT engineers, IT students and other interested parties to show their programming skills and compete with other enthusiasts.

This is a competition that happens simultaneously in several countries and in Portugal, it will take place in the Moche Room, at the Altice Arena, with 50 seats available for those who want to participate. It is a free registration event and a good opportunity for IT experts to show their talent solving the contest challenges, which are a mystery until the day of the event. At the end there will be various giveaways for all participants and prizes for the winners.

IT Development at GLS

From GLS IT Services, the GLS Development Center was created at GLS Portugal, where over 80 engineers with various skills and competencies in the IT world provide technology solutions to increase the performance and quality of logistics services across Europe and North America.

About Cloudflight Coding Contest

The Cloudflight Coding Contest is one of the largest programming contests, where around 4000 programmers around the world will simultaneously compete in a level-based game. Each game will have an increasing difficulty where the candidate, or team, that reaches the highest level in the least amount of time is the winner. The topic of the game is kept secret until the start of the competition.

It is the second time GLS Portugal in coordination with GLS IT Services organizes the contest in Lisbon and last edition was a success and delivered prizes plus giveaways like mechanical keyboards, ebook readers and more. In the previous event one of the teams reached the 10th Worldwide ranking place in the A.I. competition.
