Recipient's response

Some business models require one form of interaction with the recipient upon delivery, whether it is just an identity check, signing a contract, returning a delivery note, exchanging goods, or optionally returning.

Authentication - AddresseeOnlyService

We deliver the parcel exclusively to the person you specify - and only upon confirmation of identity.

Specify to whom we should deliver the parcel. The recipient must identify himself to the GLS courier with an official identity document (identity card or passport). The courier writes down the number of the personal document. We recommend the solution for parcels of higher value and for confidential parcel contents. It is also useful if the sender wishes that the parcel is not explicitly delivered via GLS Parcel Locker or GLS Parcel Shop.

Return of signed documents - DocumentReturnService

GLS will obtain the signature of the recipient on all required original documents and return them to the sender in a short time frame. Order the service in the parcel dispatch program by selecting DocumentReturnService. Attach the required documents to the parcel using a plastic document folder, which you can order free of charge from your GLS representative or customer service. Upon delivery of the parcel, the recipient must immediately sign the attached documents (delivery note, receipt, contract, etc.) and return them to the GLS courier. Signed documents will be with you again soon. The solution is useful if you need direct confirmation from the recipient that he has received and agrees with the contents of the parcel.

Returns - ShopReturnService

In case the recipient wants to return the received goods, he can send the shipment to GLS Parcel Locker or GLS Parcel Shop and we will return it to the sender.
GLS ShopReturnService is a service that offers online retailers an easy solution to return an incorrectly ordered product. In the event of a return, the sender encloses an additional return carrier in the parcel, thus facilitating the return of the item to the buyer. All the customer has to do is pack the parcel back, stick the additional carrier that was included in the parcel on the parcel and hand over the parcel at GLS Parcel Locker or GLS Parcel Shop. The return of goods is thus free of charge for the recipient.

Replace parcel - ExchangeService

GLS ExchangeService allows a parcel sender to have a GLS courier pick up another parcel at the same time as the parcel is delivered, which is then delivered back to the sender (or another recipient).
Economical solution due to the combination of delivery and collection at once.
Easy to use for both senders and recipients, as the transport sticker to return the parcel is already included. You will also receive an exchange certificate. The solution is useful e.g. for services that offer replacement devices or for online stores that allow replacements.
