176 electric vehicles in operation, 293 charging points
At many of our own sites, all electricity is supplied by certified renewable sources. That’s been the case since 2021.
Jacob Fischer, Head of Technology and International Operations
At GLS, we love parcels – and we love the world we deliver them in. That’s why we act responsibly from the very first kilometre to the last.
We believe the future is electric – and we’ve already plugged in. We are continuously building the infrastructure as technology improves, and more and more electric vehicles become part of our distribution fleet. At many of our own sites, all electricity used is supplied by certified renewable sources. It’s not about being perfect – it’s about taking responsibility. Daring to test new solutions, investing in what works, and learning from what doesn’t. We believe that small steps lead to big leaps – when we take them together. And we do.
Because it matters.
When we switched to certified renewable electricity in 2021, hardly anyone noticed.
And that was exactly the point – many of the biggest changes happen quietly.
At our depot in Ringsted, one third of the electricity used during daytime hours is now produced by solar panels on the roof. The total annual output corresponds to the normal consumption of 81 households.
