Notification of recipients through text messages
GLS notifies the recipients through a text message regarding the delivery of national shipments, indicating a delivery interval of three hours. On the morning of the delivery, the GLS system simulates the delivery route of the courier and sends a text message with the estimated delivery interval. With this service, the recipients can check the time interval in which the shipment will be delivered.
The service can be combined with CashService (cash on delivery). The recipients will be informed about the amount of cash on delivery to be collected.
Exclusively in the case of commercial contracts concluded with legal entities based on individual negotiated offers, GLS provides the PreAdviceService facility (additional feature), causing the recipient to receive an SMS notification in the morning of the delivery of the parcel.
