What to do if you have been scammed

Even if you are critical of the messages you receive, it is still possible to be scammed. If this happens, it is important to react quickly.

Contact your bank

If you have given your account or credit card information, contact your bank as quickly as possible. They know exactly what to do and how to help you.

Change your password

If you have given away your password or created an account on a fraudulent site using it, change your password on all other sites where you have used that specific password.

Report it to the police

If you have been a victim of phishing, we recommend that you report it to the police.

Visit National Cyber Security Centre website

At the National Cybre Security Centre (Kyberturvallisuuskeskus) website you can get help, if you have been a victim of phishing. They can also guide you in safe use of the internet, as well as what you need to be aware of in relation to online fraud.

GLS is in no way connected to the criminals behind the fraudulent messages and if payments are made as a result of these fraudulent messages the payment do not come to GLS. GLS is therefore unable to reimburse any such payments.
