GLS has been involved for years in numerous projects related to film and culture.
GLS supports: film and culture
GLS supports German and European awards events
The European Film Award (EFA) is one of the most important European cultural prizes in the film industry. GLS is providing logistical support to the event for the seventh time, above all by taking responsibility for the all-important transportation of the trophies.
As the winners are not known before the event, GLS transports the statuettes to London to be engraved afterwards and then delivers them safely to the prizewinners.
This year, too, GLS will be involved as a partner at the film awards ceremony in Seville, Spain.
Performing in front of the camera, too
In recent years, GLS has been involved in the production of several films. And not only financially or with logistical solutions: transport partners, parcels and vehicles from GLS played guest roles in films such as the German comedies 'Der Nanny', 'Vaterfreuden' and the successful 'Rico & Oskar' trilogy.
A journey right through Europe
For the film 'Highway to Hellas' with Christoph Maria Herbst in 2014, a transport partner contracted by GLS covered a distance of over 4,400 kilometres. Props had to be transported as fast as possible in Sprinters from Munich to the Greek island of Tinos.
High-quality journalism is not a given
Together with other partners, GLS sponsors the Deutscher Journalisten Preis (German journalism prize – djp), supporting high-quality journalism in the process. But social responsibility is not left out, either. A large proportion of the total prize money of 50,000 euros is then donated to charitable institutions.
