Sending a GLS parcel means that it arrives quickly and safely.
Reliable parcel transport takes place within defined standard delivery times is the strong point of GLS. Domestic parcels usually reach their destination the next working day. In Europe standard delivery times to neighbouring countries are generally 24 to 48 hours, and to almost all countries at a larger distance within 72 to 120 hours.
GLS delivers parcels Monday to Friday during normal business hours. If the sender takes out no insurance for parcel transport, GLS compensates beyond the statutory liability up to the value of the goods to a maximum of € 331.94 per GLS parcel. For high value goods an additional insurance is available.
The shipping of parcels can be combined with optional services, meaning that GLS is also able to meet special delivery requirements.

With the FlexDeliveryService GLS customers and their parcel recipients get special features:
- Early information of parcel recipients about the delivery by e-mail or text message
- Wide range of delivery options for recipients available even before the first delivery attempt – directly accessible via a link in the notification e-mail or text message
- Three delivery attempts
- Option for delivery in the evening. Available in cities with a GLS depot between 17.00 and 20.00
The service is available for national and international parcel shipment between 15 European countries – without any additional costs.
