Collecting a parcel
in a GLS ParcelShop
In case of absence or inability to deliver the parcel to a neighbor, GLS will deliver your order to the ParcelShop closest to the delivery address. The parcel will then be available for collection for the next nine working days.
When picking up the parcel, you have to identify yourself. To do so, you need a valid identity card or passport.
The notification card will tell you in which ParcelShop you can collect your parcel. You can also get this information by using the track & trace function. To do this, simply enter the Track ID that is on the notification card.
Use the ParcelShop finder to get more information about the opening hours and the location of the ParcelShop.
What is a GLS ParcelShop?
GLS ParcelShops are parcel dispatch and collection points. They are located in all kinds of different stores (shop-in-shop system), so waiting times are usually very short. In Portugal there are about 200 GLS ParcelShops where you can pick up your parcels. Most of them are open weekdays between 9.00 and 18.00 at the very least. Many stores with integrated ParcelShops also open earlier, longer or on weekends.
