Collecting a parcel
in a GLS ParcelShop
If the recipient chooses this option, GLS will take the parcel to the GLS ParcelShop. Over 700 GLS ParcelShops in the Netherlands.
Once the parcel has arrived at the chosen ParcelShop, GLS informs the recipient by SMS/e-mail. The parcel can be collected during the following five working days. When collecting the parcel, a GLS ID-code or valid identification - for example an identity card, passport or driving licence is needed.

What is a GLS ParcelShop?
GLS ParcelShops are parcel dispatch and parcel collection points. They are located in all kinds of different stores (shop-in-shop system), so waiting times are usually very short. In the Netherlands there are over 700 GLS ParcelShops where recipients can collect their parcels. The majority of these parcel collection points is open on weekdays between 9.00 and 18.00. Many stores with integrated ParcelShops open earlier or stay open longer in the evenings.
