Dublin Depot Manager

We are currently looking for a Depot Manager to join our team in Dublin. This role will offer the opportunity to be part of the growing Irish team. In this role the activities you are responsible for are crucial for enabling our depot to operate effectively.

Key responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will be the overall operation in Dublin (Depot and Hub) to ensure that the Warehouse Operatives are engaged, well managed and fully organised, so that the unloading of vans and the accurate sortation of parcels is achieved in a timely and efficient manner.

You will also be comfortable working within and adhering to all Key Performance Indicator’s (Quality, Health & Safety and Costs) and being subject to all regulations and local policies

This will also involve:

  • Organising Depot reports (Daily/Weekly) as required
  • Identify, develop and implement improvements within the Depot and HUB
  • Organise regular performance review meetings with all subcontractors (measure and monitor subcontractor performance)
  • Organise & plan delivery tours to meet expected quality level and delivery costs
  • Troubleshoot any problems and follow through to resolution (seek support of Line Managers if required) Operational control of the subcontractors (line haul & delivery)
  • Ensure that ISO and GDP standards are met all times
  • Effective customer and employee relations
  • Work with Internal system to ensure proper controls for parcels, clients and/or assigned accounts and ensure all records are up-to-date and correctly filed as per information received
  • Ensure company issues are effectively worked in a timely manner
  • Organise & plan staff towards work quantity in warehouse & transport department Stock control for warehouse and transport department, organise maintenance of conveying system to ensure smooth operation
  • Organise subcontractor payments
  • Ensure that Depot / HUB building are maintained
  • Monitoring of all security-related processes, as well as ongoing process optimization in close coordination with the Cooperate Security Department
  • Participate in operational projects
  • Ensure a strong working relationship with Customs or other official authorities

Skills and Experience:

  • Management/Team Leader Experience in a busy Warehouse/ Distribution Centre
  • Fluent English

Preferred:

Previous experience in Parcels/Distribution/Services industry is a bonus but not required
