Intern Corporate Environment & Climate Strategy

The Corporate Environment & Climate Strategy department is the key contact for the environmental and climate strategy of the GLS Group (Europe, USA and Canada). Our task is to reduce emissions GLS-wide and to pave the way towards "zero emissions". We create transparency by calculating our Eco Footprint and coordinate group-wide programs to reduce emissions via electric mobility, charging infrastructure and renewable energies. Therefore, we are in close contact with our local GLS entities to support them in the rollout of our climate strategy

Would you like to help us make tomorrow's world greener and more sustainable?

You will:

  • Supporting the preparation of the group-wide Eco Footprint and independently reviewing the results
  • Supporting and further developing of the strategy in the direction of "zero emissions
  • Further developing of tools for sales and consulting, as well as implementation of customised emission calculations
  • Supporting in the management of various projects and initiatives, e.g. rollout of a group-wide software for emissions calculation
Internship duration: at least 3, preferably 6 months.
After a successful internship, there is the possibility of an extension as a working student.

You have:

  • Studies in the field of economics, business informatics or engineering with an affinity for sustainability and energy transition
  • Preferably you are currently studying for a Master's degree
  • Great interest in topics such as electromobility, renewable energies, Net-Zero standards and CO2 reduction
  • Critical thinking, detail orientation and reliability characterise your way of working
  • You enjoy working in a team and are communicative
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • You are proficient in the use of common MS Office programmes, especially in Excel
  • Initial practical experience, e.g. in a consulting firm or in the strategy department of an industrial company, would be an advantage
