Have a say about date, location and more
Select and influence delivery according to your wishes. Before and while a parcel is still on its way to you. GLS offers you a wide range of delivery options. This way you receive ordered goods quickly and easily. These options are only available for parcels sent with the FlexDeliveryService.
Options to choose from are available in several European countries – for both national and international parcels shipped between France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Poland.
The delivery options are available as soon as you receive an e-mail and SMS by GLS with information about your parcel. GLS lets you know when your order is likely to arrive, even giving you a three hour delivery time frame. Then you know if someone is there that day to accept the parcel.
If this is not the case, your next steps are very simple: You click on the link in the e-mail and can directly access the delivery options for your parcel.
The delivery options at a glance

Choose a delivery date
You can select a specific date. Four working days after the dispatch date are available for selection. The estimated time frame for delivery remains the same. Just click the option “Delivery on a defined day” and confirm. GLS will deliver at the desired day.
Grant a signature release authorisation
You can issue a signature release authorisation online for your parcel – at a place in the immediate vicinity to your address, for example on your terrace. Then a signature confirming the receipt is no longer necessary.
You are completely independent in terms of the delivery time. The signature release authorization is valid for the parcel, which is referred to in the e-mail and the link, not for further parcels that you receive with GLS. Simply click the option “Signature release authorisation”, enter the desired location for storage as precisely as possible and confirm. GLS will leave your parcel at that place.
A general signature release authorization, which applies to all parcels delivered with GLS, can be issued via the link below. You can revoke the authorisation at any time.
Enter new address (+ 24 hours)
You can have your parcel delivered to a different address than the one you originally gave when placing the order. For example this can be the address of your workplace. Or the address of a neighbour or family member, who is at home during the day. You choose the option “Delivery to a new address”, enter the new address and confirm. GLS will then redirect your parcel (+ 24 hours).
Pick up at a GLS depot
You can choose to pick up your parcel yourself at a GLS depot. The parcel then remains in the depot responsible for your address and is available for collection for up to ten working days. After this time, the parcel is returned to the sender. Simply click the option “Pick up at a GLS depot” and confirm. GLS will store your parcel safely for you.
Delivery to a Point Relais®
You can also have your parcel delivered to a Point Relais® of your choice. Most of the Point Relais® in France have extended opening times so that you can pick up your parcel at the end of the day. Simply click the option “Delivery to a Point Relais®” and confirm. GLS will bring your parcel to the Point Relais® chosen. Please note that this option is only available if the sender you ordered the parcel from has activated to our FlexDeliveryService.
