FlexDelivery

GLS informs recipients about the delivery of a FlexDeliveryService parcel by e-mail. Select the right delivery option for you from numerous options – even after your parcel is on the move.

You decide how your parcel is delivered. That way, you avoid unsuccessful delivery attempts and receive the goods ordered faster and more conveniently.

E-mail number one: item is ready to send

When the sender has prepared your parcel and it has been handed over to GLS you will receive an email about the incoming parcel. The email contains a link through which you can change choose the delivery option you prefer.

E-mail number two: parcel is on the way

We will inform you when the parcel has arrived to Finland and is transferred to our domestic network. This way you can prepare to receive the parcel and will receive a confirmation of the final delivery.

Additional e-mails: following delivery or attempted delivery

GLS will also inform you if you delivery has been attempted, but the attempt failed e.g. if nobody was present at the delivery address.

We will also confirm a successful delivery. If you parcel has been delivered to post office, or Smartpost –parcel locker you will receive an arrival notice by email.

Your route to more choice

In the e-mails, you will find a link to the GLS website – taking you directly to the delivery options for your parcel. You can choose between different options immediately, without logging in.

For example, you have the opportunity to choose a delivery to a post office or Smartpost parcel locker you prefer, or redirect the parcel to your place of work (if allowed by your employee).

More about the delivery options

Important note

GLS sends you e-mails if the sender – for example the operator of an online shop – has provided an e-mail address and chosen to use the FlexDeliveryService. You will not these receive emails for other GLS parcel, and you cannot use change option for these parcels.
