Ready for peak season

Black Friday and Christmas are approaching. This will lead to a significant increase in retail sales and consequently to a substantial increase in consignments.

As a part of our preparation for the upcoming peak season, GLS has initiated the following measures:

• We adjusted the opening hours of our customer service.

From the 1st of November, the telephone lines will be open every working day from 8.30 to 20.00.

In December we are also available on Saturdays from 08.00 until 14.00.

• From Black Friday to the 15th of December, we will also deliver parcels booked with the ShopDeliveryService on Saturdays.

• We have expanded the capacities in our ParcelShops network, expanded the number of distribution vehicles and the capacity in our depots.

Although we have prepared ourselves to handle many parcels, we cannot predict the amount we receive every day. Therefore we ask you to:

• Inform us when you have substantially more parcels than usual.

• Inform your customers that the delivery times may be a little longer.
