Since January 31, 2020 the United Kingdom left the EU. From now on, Great Britain is now considered as a third country for customs purposes.
This means that the movement of goods and thus parcel and freight dispatch between the EU and the UK is subject to customs supervision since January 1, 2021.
GLS has for many years been customers’ reliable partner for parcel deliveries across Europe and the world. This is why GLS customers rely on existing processes for smooth imports and exports, including of deliveries requiring customs clearance. Thus GLS will give you extensive support for your shipments to the UK also from 2021.
